XAP Managed Services
XAP Hosted Development and Staging Service
Provides remote devlpoment and staging services for all XAP applications. This allows for application development, enhancements,
and maintenance to be made in a browser based interface. There is no client side software to install,
no source code cvs to maintain, and no compiled code to upload. In order to get started developing a XAP application just log in and
start developing.
XAP Application Updates and Maintenance Service
Application updates and enhancements made on the XAP staging server are easily applied to deployed XAP appliances.
These updates are made over a secure authenticated connection. Enhancements made to the application data model, logic,
and interfaces are easily applied to all deployed XAP appliances. Updates can be be applied manually from a browser interface
or an automatic update service may be implemented.
XAP Software Maintenance Service
All supporting services on deployed XAP servers are maintained via the Xornet "Appserver"

- firewall
- database
- security release
- drivers
- JVM
- .OS
The latest stable and secure version of the XAP Appliance Software is maintained on the Xornet "appserver".
Each XAP appliance is uniquely identified and the appropriate updates are made according to the appliance configuration.
All XAP Appliance Software updates are thoroughly tested before they are made ready for update.
Xornet subscribes to several security "watch dog" services. All reported security alerts are remedied immediately on the
Xornet Appserver Server and applied to all deployed XAP Appliances where applicable.
Event Notification Service
In every XAP Appliance system-events are logged and e-mailed to the appropriate recipient. This allows for unusual system events
and warnings to be discovered immediately. Multiple recipients and which type of system events trigger an e-mail may be defined.
